ACS Strengthens DSCA Cyber Defense with Proactive Threat Intelligence and Incident Response Excellence

At Assured Cyber Solutions, Inc. (ACS), protecting our nation’s defense infrastructure means staying ahead of adversaries—before they can exploit vulnerabilities. From February 2023 to October 2024, our team supported the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) with elite Cyber Security Engineering and Threat Intelligence capabilities that enhanced operational readiness and reduced cyber risk across multiple mission-critical environments.

From Detection to Resolution – A Full-Spectrum Defense

ACS’s cybersecurity experts configured and fine-tuned Splunk Enterprise Security SIEM to automatically, detect, analyze, and respond to suspicious activity in near real time. By creating specialized business-use-case queries for security monitoring, compliance, insider threat detection, and advanced persistent threat (APT) analysis, we helped DSCA identify malicious activity early—and respond decisively.

We supported every stage of the incident response lifecycle, from initial detection through remediation and lessons learned, including:

• Investigating potential incidents such as malware attacks, session hijacks, and data exfiltration attempts

• Performing advanced threat hunting to uncover hidden risks and emerging attack campaigns

• Creating DSCA-specific Incident Response SOPs and a Security Maturity Model to guide long-term readiness

• Conducting impact and exposure assessments tied to high-severity Cyber Task Orders (CTOs)
